"Spring Break" - a Prophetic NOW Word for the Church

Two nights ago, I had a dream that I was at the racetrack in Daytona, FL and they had ripped up the whole track because of a crash that had just happened there and there were putting in a whole new one. When I woke up, the Holy Spirit immediately reminded me to go back and look at what He had said to me about the Daytona 500 (and specifically the major crash at the end).

God is always speaking through a myriad of different things. So, I didn’t think it was strange that He had spoken about the crash, but now He was going back and connecting a lot of dots between things He had said in the recent weeks and months to what is going on in our world right now.

If you’re not aware of what happened at the Daytona 500, the driver of the #6 car - Ryan Newman - had just taken the lead at the very end of the race and was about to win, when he got nudged slightly from behind, went into a full-on spin, hit a wall, got hit by another car and flipped over several times. It was such a spectacular crash that everyone honestly thought there was no way he’d make it out alive. Yet, he did and shockingly enough, was shown walking out of the hospital (barefoot, no less) with his two daughters just a few days later.

When it happened, the Holy Spirit spoke to me about its symbolism and how when man tries to lead in his own strength (#6 - the number of man’s strength, outside of God), one little thing can cause him to crash and burn, just like all of us when we try to move in our own will outside of Him. (This is symbolically, I am not speaking about Ryan himself.) He should not have survived, but he did by the grace of God.

But now, He started to speak to me about it even more. He prompted me to look up the meaning of his name. Ryan - “little king” and Newman meaning “NEW man.” Representing how when we’ve been saved by the grace of God, we become a new creation and a child of the King. When he left the hospital barefoot, holding the hands of his daughters Brooklyn and Ashlyn, it was a picture of those in the Church being humbled, having repented and filled with an outpouring of the Spirit.

But, He didn’t stop there. Then, He had me look up the meaning of the name Daytona. When I felt led to click on the definition from the Urban Dictionary, I laughed a little. But then realized that was the exact meaning He wanted me to read - “someone with a really big heart beyond kind, sweet, beautiful, radiant, nice to everyone around, you never want them to leave, someone who never ceases even when the going gets tough.” When I read this last part, immediately the Holy Spirit reminded me of a song He had played on “Holy Spirit Radio” (when He speaks to me through song lyrics that He puts on my mind) a few weeks ago - “When the going gets tough, the tough get going…” I hadn’t understood it at the time. But, here He was again connecting more dots. Daytona represented Jesus - the beautiful, kind, radiant one who never leaves and never ceases.

Then, as my eyes went to the top of the page, I saw a sentence that stood out like it was in neon lights. “Daytona is known for racing and SPRING BREAK.” Now, before I explain fully why that jumped off the page at me, let me mention one thing - it said spring break is usually from late February to mid-April, with the peak period in March (some of you may already be understanding where I’m going with this!). So, hold that thought.

Next, the Holy Spirit reminded me of two dreams that a friend had shared with me just the day before. She was asking me for interpretations and although I had given them to her, I hadn’t realized at the time the significance that they had corporately, for the whole church.

In the first dream, a girl had shown up to steal part of their land which she said was “revealing her plan.” My friend’s husband had hit the girl, they thought she was dead and they wrapped her in a gray plastic tarp and put her in a hole, but only put a little bit of dirt on top of it. When the land surveyor came later to survey the land, she jumped out of the hole.

When the Holy Spirit gave me the interpretation, He explained the enemy is trying to steal the inheritance of God’s children, particularly that “land” (the promised land symbolizes God’s promises/our inheritance) which will expose the plans of the enemy. God/Jesus (who was represented by her husband in the dream, whose name also means “custodian of the provisions”) has been fighting for us, but the issue is not dead. There is double-mindedness going on, as well as saying something but not living it. So, when God (the land surveyor) comes to set the boundaries for the land/inheritance (when He comes in final judgment of the world), it’s going to pop back up. Which is why it must be dealt with now. The issue? As represented in the dream by the girl whose name is Nicole - victory in the people, instead of finding victory in Him.

In the second dream, my friend and her husband were talking about their goals and they did not align. So, her husband said he wanted to take a break. She then found out that he had slept with two of her friends - Ann and Holly. While that was happening, she was swimming 3 hours a day for 3 days, trying to get ready for a very important race, while her mom sat and watched her. She was struggling with some type of snowboard that she didn’t know how to use and ended up exhausted, while her husband was fine and calm.

In the interpretation, her husband again represents Jesus. His goals right now don’t align with His “bride” - the Church. So, He is taking a “break.” He is in covenant with those that recognize and accept His favor and sacrifice and have fully surrendered to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit (represented by the mom) is watching while those in the Church struggle to do it all on their own. God’s glory and righteousness are available, but they don’t know how to use it. So, they are trying to do it in their own strength, which leaves them exhausted. Versus being in Jesus - where the yoke is easy and the burden is light.

Corporately, this again reflects what He had me release in an earlier word. God is allowing His Church to be shaken right now (by the virus and all the fall-out around it) so they will wake-up and so their hearts will be exposed. Who or what are they really trusting in? Are they really IN Him? Or are they looking to the world or themselves for strength/provision/protection? Our goals need to align with HIS goals. And since they don’t right now, He will take a “break” and hit pause to shake things up until they do. He wants His people to wake up and come out of self-sufficiency, agreement with the world, idols and religion and come back to Jesus. FOR REAL.

He also reminded me of a post I put on Instagram just 2 weeks ago about me beeping my horn at a groundhog that was in the middle of the road to get him to go back off into the woods. The message from the Holy Spirit that I shared that day was about how sometimes God will “scare” us in order to save us. When He sees us going the wrong direction, He may do something to “startle” us, so we will turn around and head back in the right direction - where we are safe. And never has this been more applicable than right now.

For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the Gospel of God?” -1 Pet 4:17

I will give the command and shake Israel along with the other nations as grain is shaken in a sieve, yet not one true kernel will be lost.” -Amos 9:9

Now, after laying all that groundwork, He began to tie it all together.

In regard to the virus, He said it will end abruptly because He will stop it. But, in the natural, the world/media will say they “successfully contained it” and take credit for it. (He also noted this is why another friend of mine said she kept hearing God say “containment.”) But, you can’t contain Him by washing your hands or staying in your house. Even the distance rule of 6’ represents a measure of man (as 6 prophetically means in man’s own strength; without God). He used the analogy of the fake security signs people put outside of their homes. They hope it will keep trouble away and make themselves feel safe, but there’s no real security there - it’s fake.

You have eaten the fruit of lies, trusting in your military might, believing that great armies could make your nation safe.” -Hos 10:13

Again, this is a call to THE CHURCH to put their trust in HIM as their security and not in man. You can read my previous word for more on that.

Then, the Holy Spirit took me back to “Spring Break” and Him taking a “break” in the dream. He had me look up when Spring Break typically ends - after Easter. When I flipped over to my calendar on my tablet to check the date, I noticed that my calendar automatically had two dates filled in on it - Easter and “Orthodox Easter.” Again, the Spirit prompted me - look up the latter one as I wasn’t familiar with what it meant.

As it turns out, Orthodox Easter is not only a nod to Passover (again, you can read about the significance of that in my previous word), but also recognizes Jesus’ death on the cross as a “rescue mission.” The focus is not on the anger/wrath of God, but the LOVE of God. Meaning, it wasn’t just about Jesus taking the wrath we deserved, but defeating sin, death and Satan! Jesus has the KEYS! (Note: I will be releasing another word in the next few days about this and Jericho.) So, it represents not just His resurrection, but the resurrection of us all!

Orthodox Easter this year falls on April 19th. So, to “go back from break” after Easter would be April 20th. The exact date I had randomly seen in my head weeks ago and never knew why. Just a few days prior, I had even written down in my journal that I had seen 4/20 in my mind, but still didn’t know why. Interestingly, I had written this down right after I had outright asked the Lord about the virus and He said, “It’ll go away when I tell it to. It’s My timetable, not man’s. It won’t be long. Stay tuned.”

Then, He prompted to me to count how many days it was to Orthodox Easter. I asked Him where I should start counting from since I wasn’t even really sure when this whole virus debacle started and He said the day they declared it a “pandemic.” So, I Googled it and found that was March 11th (interestingly, another number that I kept seeing over and over - 311). So, I counted from that day to Orthodox Easter on the 19th and guess how many days it is? 40.

40 days. The number used over and over again in the Bible for a period of trial, judgement and testing.

Which would also have us “coming back” from “break” right after Easter - the symbol of RESURRECTION and REBIRTH.

So, I’m just going to go ahead and leave that right there. ;)

And share one other thing the Holy Spirit said…

This is not a pestilence (from God on the world), it’s just a precursor. It is a flu like other earthly diseases. It’s actually not that much more deadly than others, it’s just portrayed that way in the media. The real attack from the enemy is on the mind (to cause fear, panic and anxiety). Like I mentioned in the last word I released, God has allowed it though as a test. Before the “real” stuff comes at the judgment of the world. This - the shaking right now - is actually a great gift from God in His awesome grace. To WAKE those in the Church who have been slumbering, made compromises or gone off course, and get them back under His wings while there is still time. (*It’s also to prepare/spark us to reach those in the world who don’t know Him at all, but this word is specifically aimed at those in the Church.)

It is not a coincidence that this virus is something that we cannot see. It represents what the real battle is actually against - the enemy. God wants to open our spiritual eyes! The definition of pandemic is “occurring over a wide geographic area and affecting an exceptionally high proportion of the population.” Which is what He said is actually happening spiritually with His people.

There is a pandemic - spiritually. Too many of His people have gotten compromised by the world. They’ve succumbed to fear and panic, believed the lies of the enemy, looked to the world for answers and stopped believing God for who He really is.

But, this is a time when God is “blowing the trumpet” (Hos 5:8) and “sounding the alarm” (Hos 8:1), so His people can come back to Him with humility, repentance and gratefulness and surrender to His love and protection once again.

Things are happening. God is moving. And time is ticking. Don’t wait! Run back to Him with your WHOLE heart. He’s waiting with open arms!

P.S. There are a LOT of other pieces to this puzzle that I will be releasing in the coming days and weeks on Jericho, the Good Shepherd, Eden and “the middle lane.” Good stuff!! So, make sure you subscribe to emails and follow on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube so you don’t miss them!
