God is Speaking All Over the Place - ORU in March Madness and the "Ever Given" in the Suez Canal

Probably one of my favorite things about the prophetic is seeing how God is constantly speaking through things all around us. Being a creative person myself and having always loved logic puzzles and mysteries, it is exciting to go “hunting” after the treasures the Lord has hidden in plain sight.

“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.” -Prov.25:2

I didn’t really have to do much “searching” though on either of these because the Holy Spirit just started downloading them to me when I was actually sitting and praying about something else yesterday morning. But, I did have a feeling that there was something to the ORU/March Madness thing (I even mentioned it in the “Spring Break 2021” video) and had also seen a few things right away with the ship being stuck in the Suez Canal.

But, the Lord did what He does and took over my quiet time and gave me all this, not only so I can be in awe of Him like I always am! But also, so I can share it corporately as more proof and encouragement that He is very much on the move RIGHT NOW!

As I have mentioned before in other similar words (like the one about the Daytona 500 last year and about Prince Harry & Meghan Markle), I am not speaking personally about the particular players, teams or schools in this word, but what they represent. And what God is saying through them.

So first, ORU and March Madness. As I mentioned in the Spring Break video, I had a feeling there was something significant that the Lord was saying through ORU unexpectedly being in March Madness. Mainly, because I’ve learned that God’s timing and ways are always very strategic and purposeful. And I did not think it was a coincidence that this Christian university (from Tulsa, no less) was suddenly out of nowhere advancing on the scene at the same time that revival is beginning to stir in the nation.

But, the way the Lord began to explain it was by dropping something very unexpected into my spirit. The day before He gave me the whole download, He just casually said, “You know what ORU stands for right? Organized religion university.”

Yikes. Even I thought that felt a little “salty” and I don’t even have a personal investment or interest in the school. But, I knew what He was saying. Just like He had said quite clearly a couple weeks prior with “Christianity is man’s religion about following Jesus, it’s not following Jesus”… He was getting a point across. Whether it felt abrasive for us to receive or not.

Most Christian universities probably fall into the same category. I didn’t feel like He was picking on ORU in particular (although their initials sure came in handy!). Just like He said Christianity itself was a religion about following Jesus, universities that are based on “organized religion” are teaching about following Jesus more than creating disciples that are actually following Jesus.

So, this is what He was speaking about symbolically through their run in March Madness.

The team that beat ORU were the Arkansas Razorbacks. I had no idea what a “razorback” was, so I followed His prompting to go find out and it turns out, it is a wild boar. Symbolically, wild boars represent “war, warriors, defending what is right, truth, courage, confrontation, facing the truth even if it means facing your own death, never giving up, challenging predators that would try to hunt them, bravery and a fighting spirit.”

So, before I go any further, you can already see the contrast He is demonstrating through the two teams. On one side, you’ve got organized religion (with traditions, restrictions, programs and spiritual blindness or apathy) and on the other side, you’ve got the “wild” untamable Holy Spirit (with courage, bravery, a fighting spirit and spiritual warriors).

In the game where the Razorbacks defeated ORU (which just “happened” to be on the first day of Passover), the final score was 72-70. The Holy Spirit focused on ORU’s score first - 70. Not only is the number 70 significant in the Bible (like the 70 weeks in Daniel’s end times prophecy), but, in the Hebrew alphabet, it is the letter “Ayin” or the “eye,” which represents not only seeing, but also in turn, understanding and obeying.

Now, I could go into an entire separate teaching about the “eye” stuff, but basically… when we are looking with our natural eyes and not seeing spiritually (which you do when you’re stuck in religion), you will miss what God is doing. So, not only will you not be able to see it, but in turn, you won’t be able to understand or obey Him either. (The Holy Spirit said it’s like always driving around with your low beams on and never using your “high beams” which help you see further!)

It’s why He gave the clear warning on 1/20 not to agree with what we were seeing in the natural and why He gave the word about His plans a few days later. Because He wants us to be aware of what He’s doing so we can be peaceful and expectant, but also to make sure we are staying in line with what He wants us to do.

As for the score of 72, there is no #72 in the Hebrew alphabet. But, what I felt the Holy Spirit focusing on is the 2-point difference that they lost by. What was missing. So, the number 2 in the Hebrew alphabet is the letter “Bet,” which is a picture of a house or a dwelling.

It represents creation, a dwelling place in lower reality and God’s intention of abiding within the realm of creation. It is also a picture of Yeshua (Jesus) as the “Master” of the house. And how He is “tabernacled” with us, with our own bodies being His temple!

And this is what is missing from organized religion.

If you watched or read the last prophetic teaching I released about power through surrender, that’s exactly what it was about - surrendering to Jesus as the Lord or “master” of your life. Because when you truly do that, you allow Him to “reign” in the temple or tabernacle (which is YOU!) and live the abundant life He died for you to have.

It’s stopping the striving of religion to be like Jesus and surrendering to Him fully so He can live through you.

The team lost right at the buzzer (which is a nod to us being in the end times and there not being much time left) and making a basket (which they didn’t do in this case) refers to reaching forward to what lies ahead. Those in religion are not able to see and agree with the “new” thing God is doing right now (which is actually going back to the old thing - His original ways before religion warped everything), so they are missing it.

The player (on the Razorbacks) who sunk the winning shot was named Davonte, which is a form of David. David means “beloved” or “favorite” and represents those who are like the David in the Bible - those who have a heart after God and are walking with the “Key of David” (Is. 22:22).

The player (on ORU’s team) who missed the shot was named Max, which means “the greatest.”

This contrast is to demonstrate the difference between the pride and self-righteousness of religion and the humility and surrender of truly walking in the spirit and having a fully surrendered heart toward God.

And lastly, they lost the game in what is called the “sweet sixteen.” Sixteen prophetically represents the end of the rule of humanity (man’s ways), as well as 'the renewal of relationship with God through redemption and resurrection. Again, reiterating relationship over religion.

And, if they had won, they would’ve moved on to the “elite eight.” Eight represents “new beginnings” and the word “elite” means “the choice part, the best of a class, priesthood or royalty.” Those who are stuck in religion will not experience the fullness of what it means to reign with Christ as royalty. Because that comes from laying down pride and works, humbly surrendering, allowing God to “circumcise” their hearts and renewing their relationship and covenant with Him through the finished work of Christ.

The Holy Spirit also highlighted the situation where the ship got stuck in the Suez Canal to illuminate what God was saying there. It’s funny because I stay SO out of the news that I didn’t even know it had happened until I heard another prophetic voice speaking about it. He had just shared how the Holy Spirit told him in advance of that happening that He was going to do something significant with a ship, so when we saw that happening, we could know He is on the move.

That was all he had said about it and I was just going to leave it at that myself, but the Holy Spirit had me go back to it the next morning, so He could highlight a few things to me.

First, the name of the ship is “Ever Given.” Ever means “at any time; at all times,” while given means “at a particular or specified time.” The Lord said, He is reiterating the truth that He is always moving, He is able to move at any time and He WILL move (in our current situation in our nation) at the particular time HE has already specified!

As most people saw obviously, the name of the shipping company is also “Evergreen,” which was prominently displayed across the side of the ship in all the photos of it. Evergreen means universally and continually relevant, not limited to a particular time.” (This is probably my favorite part of the whole word around this event…) God’s involvement in our lives and His faithfulness to protect and rescue His people did not go away with the Old Testament! He is the same God He has always been! So, His faithfulness, His goodness, His sovereignty and His ability to do the impossible is still relevant! And He is about to SHOW that like never before!

The ship also got stuck near the entrance to the Red Sea in Egypt. And if you’ve been following my words or the words of other prophetic voices who are moving in the Spirit right now, you’ll know that’s all the Lord is talking about! How this situation right now is our “Red Sea” deliverance from Egypt - God bringing us out of the world.

What He is demonstrating is how He can stop the ways of the world whenever He wants to (and He will!). He also highlighted to me how one local from the town that is right there next to where the ship got stuck referred to it as looking like a “mountain” in the background. And He is reminding us that He can move “mountains.” So, don’t be afraid because what may appear “impossible” to man is possible with Him!

The last thing that He highlighted is something He didn’t elaborate on, but is significant as well. That the opening of the Suez Canal opened up the global sex trade and made it possible for prostitutes and trafficking victims to be moved much quicker and further than before. So, He’s putting a nice exclamation point on His ability to intervene majorly in that area too (as He’s already started to do).

The Lord is very much speaking LOUD and CLEAR through all kinds of things in our world right now. He wants His people to recognize that He is not absent. He is not asleep. He is not angry and standoffish. He is very much on the move and lining everything up right now for one of the biggest moves all of us have ever seen.

He IS showing His power and sovereignty and He IS coming not only to rescue His people, but to free them from religion and the ways of the world once and for all.

He is about to do what only He can do through the blood of Christ and the power of His Holy Spirit!

So, get ready and get excited!
